Family time in Riga

Yesterday was our first night in Riga, and we were welcomed with an amazing dinner with 15 of Bella's relatives. Today, we spent time with individual families one at a time instead of all at once. We got to see some of the surrounding areas of Riga, including Vecaki. While there we took a short walk to the beach (even though it was just above freezing outside) and I was surprised to see many couples and their families walking alone the shore - I wonder how crowded the beach would be come summer time.

In search of a good night's sleep

It's 9:21pm and Bella and I are both pretty sleepy. Even though we're 6 days into our trip, our bodies are still trying to adjust to the time changes. Staying with friends and family have meant we've had great accommodations...if only our body clocks would appreciate them as much as we do personally. Here's to hoping for better luck tonight.

Nights full of London Pride

Our time in London has come to a close, but not before we had our share of nights out at the pub(lic house). Whether it was drinking London Pride Ale with a stranger while discussing the finer points of cricket, or downing pints of Kwak with Bella's friends from grade school, the pub lifestyle has helped set the tone for the honeymoon. Good thing we won't be driving much.
